From Alive in Mexico

For 29 years there has been a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) march in Mexico's capital city. This year the march's theme was the growing problem of discrimination against LGBT people for their sexual preferences.

This march grows each year, not only in the number of people but also in the infrastructure that they use, which includes dozens of mobile scenes where they exhibit their outfits.

Various cities in the country have similar marches where, in a type of carnival, the LGBT groups have made their presence public in a society that commonly ignores them and discriminates against them.

In this march they also encourage the use of methods to prevent sexually transmitted infections, and to promote their rights as an active sector in society.

Desde hace 29 años se realiza una marcha de Lesbianas, Gays, Bisexuales y Transgenero (LGBT) en la capital del país, este año el tema central de la marcha fue creciente problema de la discriminación hacia ellos por sus preferencias sexuales.

Esta marcha crece año con año, no solo en número de personas, sino también en la infraestructura que utilizan para llevarla a cabo que incluye decenas de escenarios moviles donde exhiben sus vestuarios.

Actualmente en varias ciudades del país se llevan a cabo marchas similares donde con una forma de carnaval los grupos LGBT han hecha publica su presencia en una sociedad que comúnmente los niega y discrimina.

En esta marcha también se busca fomentar el uso de métodos de prevención contra enfermedades de transmisión sexual, así como la promoción de sus derechos como sector activo de la sociedad.
